I think that's the #1 hugest advantage of Heelys. Now, nothing's boring.
Supermarket food shopping? Not boring.
Getting something I forgot out of the car? Not boring.
Mall shopping? Not boring.
Walking from work to the subway? Not boring.
Its worth it just to be able to glide around. |

All right guys, I'll explain this one. It's easy.
When you click "Register" to get an account, notice how it asks you "Click here if you're 13 or over" and "Click here if you're under 13"? That's because of an American law called the "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act", COPPA, which prevents Internet administrators from collecting the personal information of anyone under 13 without parental consent.
In real terms this law is an absolute joke. It's an IQ test. If you're under 13 and not smart enough to lie and/or create another email address and pretend it's your parents', you don't get on.
And no, I can't be held responsible if kids lie to get in here, as I have absolutely no way of determining whether or not someone actually is over 12 or not. It's not like this is a bar and I'm the bouncer checking people's IDs. You already told the software you were 13. However old you claim to be now isn't my concern. |

Okay, I just fixed the COPPA business in an unexpected way. Basically, the law prevents people from collecting the personal information of children under 13. So I changed the software not to require the email address anymore, and tell kids under 13 not to put any personal info in. Easy fix.
