well i think it's been one year of heeling (ill edit this later, and put in an exzact date)

it alll started when i first pair of heelys jun 11, 2007 impulse 9108 (FATS)

i looked up heelys on youtube saw some cool tricks wanted to learn

that summer on like july 20 i got my first pair of torches 9116

i leaerned most of the basics that summer

then there was a demo like late oct early nov. and i went to it got sponsered

i got my 2nd pair of torches cuz they got worn out and the wheels got bubbles

like dec. 21 was my first in store demo

went to the sk8park learned some tricks had some fun

right before my reflexes i got another pair of torch cuz they got old and worn

right before vertigo i got some refexes of ebay

and right after the reflexes i got some free-spinz

then there was a gathering up at vertigo that i got to go to

brooks hooked me up with some evolutions 9093

now there is another gathering not sure of the date or if im going all i know is that joe said i got invited

feel free to put up your story

How did you find the reflexes? I had some Nike shox shoes I used to like for comfort when running before I found the joy of rolling, and the springs in them really saved my knees from a lot of impact related pain - would you say the relfexes would help with this too?

I got a pair of Vectors in 4th grade ... best buy of my life Very Happy
It all started when i met Merlyn and he showed me what heelys were ( omg he's gliding!) about a year later after much begging my dad took me to TSA to get them. I started and actually tried footing before i could go straight. Didnt work vert well Wink anyhow, once i got it down i started to do all the other stuffage. Eventually i got sponcered.

Almost 2 years ago I got a pair of slides, not even knowing what heelys were capable of.
I got them from Summit Sports and went to Target right afterwards and learned how to go forwards. Later when I got home I decided I'd learn how to ride switch, then backwards, and it all went from there. Later when I went online, I googled "heelys" just hoping I could find something cool, Heely(at the time)Talk came up and I joined the forum.
I gathered a bunch of peoples opinions and decided I'd get a pair of evolutions, and I decided I'd hit up a skatepark too.
So I hit up the skatepark and couldn't do anything so I decided I'd just stick to flatland.
3 months later I decided I'd give vert another go, and I was able to learn lots of tricks and even got invited to Texas to do a video shoot where the national pro team idea came up.
I was able to become one of the original members of Team Heelys National Pro.
It's been a long journey Wink

A friend got me a pair of crappies at the Goodwill for my birthday in March. I'd been talking aobut getting heelys for like 2 years, and she was sick of listening to it, so she got the crappies for me. (Neither of us knew that crappies suck!) I got them at the beginning of March, and after 1 week on crappies I ordered Rumbles. The Rumbles were so awesome compared to the crappies I had, so I ordered torches too, with the hope that someday I'll learn to grind and I'd like to at least try dropping in someday. I planned to throw the crappies away, but another friend "rescued" them from the garbage can. I told her to just get the real thing, but like me she has the cost barrier. So hopefully she'll like it too and get heelys! Now I'm justing waiting for the stress fracture in my foot to heal so I can get back to working on riding switch, kickswitching and heeling backwards. I joined heelychat about 2 hours after I ordered my Rumbles!

Wow, you MUST have been a serious skater of some kind before tho, right? I mean getting as good as you are on heelies in just two years is incredible either way, but I'm guessing you had transferrable skills?

idk whether to tell ppl it's been 2 1/2 years or 1 year lol.

I got my first pair of evos 2 1/2 years ago for Christmas.
But I didn't start learning anything at all (not even flatland) until this month one year ago.

I got my first pair of Heelys on my 19th birthday (March 9th) of 2007. They were Atomics, and I was hot stuff let me tell you. It took me a couple of days to learn, but I worked at a car detail shop, and I had smooth concrete lanes about 200 ft long which I could just glide up and down, back and forth. My shift started at 6am but I would show up as early as 4am just skating around. As I got better, my work banned them for liability reasons. Then I left.

I started rolling around in those until about June (when I left the car shop) and I saw a pair of Rails... Boy howdy, it was game over. At this time I had yet to see anyone use Heelys aggressively (or anyone my age doing it) and I knew I had to do it. I sold a few XBox games and I picked it up. This was my first pair I had to wait to get.

Within a week I got the shoes, put them on, and went to my mom's house (I had a rail over then when I used to inline). I never soaped, but I did inline which I thought it would be the same... I was wrongly mistaken... I busted my ass and I didn't try grinding until right around August.

From this point I moved into my town home and there was a skatepark down the road. A buddy of mine parkoured and taught hip hop (he was my roomie at the time) and encouraged me to continue skating so I can do something at his next show. He shown me the park (cause it was next to a parkour spot) and I started to learn vert.

I didn't fall too often (maybe 2 - 3 times an hour) and I had to gimp cause vert on fats didn't work for me. After a couple weeks, I tried doing a gymnast handplant (1 handed hand plant) and I rotated around and fell on my leg. I sprained my ankle and tore my knee cartiledge. Theres also a hairline fracture running vertically in my femur which I have to still have MRIs done to make sure its not spreading.

When I was out of commission is when I bought my Furys. My Furys still to this day are my favorite shoe. This was my first pair of Megas, and I was intruduced to a whole new world of skating.

From there I picked up a pair of Grind This, 2 pairs of Evos, and a pair of Zevos which are still in the mail. The Atomics are officially retired and the Rails are used by my brother until he gets a pair (he's not too big into it, but enjoys it when he does)

The rest is still in the making my friend
