| For anyone that doesn't know, BBK plates are a type of soap shoe plate that's removable. Some places ban soap shoes b/c of the possibility of slipping on the grind plate and being sued (oh wow, liability issues, what a shocker....), so you can't wear styles like Evolution or Torch into places like schools. Besides rule purposes, riding things like a skateboard or bike, or sometimes even walking around, can be uncomfortable and sometimes impossible. So what if the new mega/plate models had these? It would have a removable wheel, AND a removable plate, so you could literally turn your heelys into a normal-looking and functioning shoe. Better yet, if these were combined with the reflex suspension system, they'd be the most popular heelys available. |

You guys go to the same school?
lol.......anyway....
I've heard of a lot of schools giving detentions and what not to kids with heelys/soap shoes in school.
I usually ride my BMX bike downtown to the skate park, or to some hills that I want to carve on freeline skates/the flowboard, and I always take my heelys b/c 1. It's the only thing I ride at skate parks and 2. I like to grind on random stuff I see lol. Problem is, I can't ride freeline skates/my bmx very well b/c the plates slip around on the freeline platforms and pedals. so if the plates would just pop on and off, it'd make going around a lot easier |

| I like the idea except for the issue of what if they little holding mechanism breaks? Then you're S.o.L. when it comes time to skate... In my opinion, I don't know many people who's 1st pair of Heelys were performance, so just wear the shoe without the plate... As for going to a skatepark, bring a backpack... |

Well......BBK plates use screws that go into the sole, and they've never had a problem with it. They were working on a prototype with a quick release, but it never went through b/c of the problem you mentioned. |

It's a good idea. They just should just do it.
The only possible issue is if they fall off but I'm sure they wont. |

The only problem I could think of is it takes a while to take off the screws of a BBK plate and take the plate off. Unlike the wheels, where you can just walk with the wheel in or pop it out in a couple seconds. Plus, you need a screwdriver. So would anyone actually take the time to remove their plates if they want to go in somewhere? |

Removable screwdriver in the front of the shoe! o_o
lol I dunno, that's really not even a problem. Take the plates out if you're doing something in particular where you can't have plates. Leave them in otherwise. |
