You know how Heelys has shoes with two inline wheels in the heel? Well, why doesn’t Heelys just make a shoe with a removable wheel in both the front and back of the shoe?
As it stands right now, Heelys seem like a missed opportunity in need of one simple addition.

This would be good so you can use them like a real skate. And you simply remove the front wheel to heel and walk and put the front one in to skate. So, you would get the best of both worlds in one compact package. They could make one with two megas or a mega in back and a fats/mini-mega in front or something.

Seems like a no-brainer idea, I can’t believe they haven’t tried it. I mean, you could actually land on full wheels when have both in at skateparks etc. Not to mention it would be very convenient and even more of a hybrid-skating product, or is this infringing on another wheeled shoe patent by having two removable wheels built into the shoe?

Lastly, they could come up with a cool name for it like “The Heelys Hybrid”

i think it would be pretty cool, but wouldn't that kinda take the edge off of heeling? I mean, its just a thought, and don't get me wrong cause I was thinking around the same lines, just never tossed the idea out, but I know I heel cause inlining was getting to repeatative for me. I've gotten to the point where it was just another day to skate, and with heelys, its a new adventure, because even though I can do most of the tricks on blades, balance becomes a major issue when you're on heelys (from grinding, flatland/tech, to even vert when it comes to pumping). I like being able to know that I'm working on a new technique when I go out and heel, and if there was a shoe with a wheel in the toe, that would make it a little... dare I say without someone jumping down my throat... easier. But, on the other hand, having an additional wheel in the toe would make the flat land and even grind trictionary increase at least double, because now you and do toe rolls, making easy varitions on the crab walk/pipeline, footys, and even some grinds for that matter, now having a free toe, you can probably do more aggressive looking joe stalls, making them now into joe grinds.

My idea for heelys though (not trying to jack your thread, but I think this would be a good idea for brainstorming) would be to extend the grind plates out a little farther on the shoe (like left and right) so they stick out (almost like the Rails) and then go up onto the side of the shoe. There are countless videos on youtube (though I can't post them now cause they banned the tube at my work yesterday) where inliners will do royales without using a rail... thats right kids, right there on the flat surface! And though that can cause major jacking up of the shoe on an asphalt surface, I think the smooth concrete of a skatepark or even a slick manual pad could suffice adding more flare to a freestyle run.

But alas, I'm bored here, so I decided to right a monologue, but in turn, I think it would be a good idea for heelys to add a second wheel in the front, but I know there will be some disappointments in HSL. But maybe someone from the top will read this thread, and who knows, maybe they'll consiter it!

IVI4V3R1CK, that idea is very good, but if they were to extend the grind plate's, i would like it to be a vertical extension, I was wanting more of a grind plate like a reverse T-bone soap plate. it wouldn't introduce a new section of the tricksionary much, but it would more than triple the grind section, just with the verticle placement of the foot, and it could make heelys more of a hybred shoe, since right now it's used only as a 1 wheeled skate

NO OFFENCE IS MEANT TOWARDZ HEELFORREAL: um it's not realy heeling it's would be like hypno skates or those crappies with buttons, and how would you walk? (without removing the front wheel) well whatever i wouldn't buy them or ask for them.

The only problem I can see with T-bone heelys is that the wheel would slow you down/get in the way when you try to cess slide

yea i enjoy walking sometimes and then heeling at others without having to remove or add a wheel

The wheel is supposed to *help* forward grinds in those situations. You're not wholly grinding, you're roll-grinding, sliding on the toe while you roll with the wheel.

Yeah, it does make instant stops harder (unless they make what toe rubber there is out of some extra-friction stuff), but it's meant for vert, an environment where you generally don't want to stop instantly anyway. The surface has a lot to do with it too. Wood you'll probably slide a bit, concrete you should still be able to stop hard.

Of course, having all the force on limited amounts of rubber is going to eat it away pretty quick...
