Instead of a true halfpipe, I'd need to do 2 quarters with the concrete floor as the flatbottom. I don't mind leaving my Polo outside (hell... it's outside right now!) but if we get a storm through here (hurricane ... which we will, it's just a matter of time) my Polo HAS to be in the garage.
I'd love to use ready made quarters like the 10eighty's, but I'm kind doubtful on quality at less than $200. They have a pretty sharp edge so I think they would transition nicely into the concrete. That will be my problem if I build one. |
If moneys not much of a problem check out http://www.ocramps.com there ramps are a little shorter but good quality. |

| The $$ isn't THAT much of an issue, but if I have to go through the trouble of assembling, I might as well custom build. |

Look like quality products, but I can build one helluva ramp for $1600. Matter o' fact > I can probably get away with spending less than 1/3d of that and have a full 8' width ramp.
I do believe I have settled on an 8' wide IN GARAGE mini-ramp with a 3' low side incl 4' deep deck and a 4' high side with a 2'deep mini deck. I've looked into rearranging the garage so instead of the layout being side to side in the garage, it will run front to back with the low side deck acting as storage for lawn equipment and my riding mower. I'm also going with masonite as a top layer so I won't have to worry about grain issues. We're replacing the current a/c unit for a hefty one the will keep the spot cool for those super hot days. I've already started moving the aux lighting in the garage to above the ramp area for better lighting. I'm not sure how long it will take me as I haven't bought any of the wood yet and I've been working ALOT over overtime to help pay for it (the things I do for the chillruns!!) and I'm also not rushing things but I'll be sure to keep a photo log of the build.
WISH ME LUCK !!!! |

| custom build is where my vote is at because some people like really short but high ramps and some like other type of ramps so.. build it how you want and you will be satisfied (what i would do) |

Welp... broke down and ordered the 1080 quarterpipe. It's gonna be quite awhile before I can actually start the custom build (probably around Sept time) so until then, it's practice time on the plastic. This will also help guage if the groms are really interested in ramp riding before spending big money on a custom miniramp. We can always incorporate the quarter into the custom build somehow also so it should be moneys well spent. Anyway... should be here next week sometime so we'll take some 'new to ramps' footage for your entertainment. |

YAY! so does that mean we can expect bloopers of mushroom kids first few drop ins? (referring to all the padding they'll be needing) |

| I leave the safety stuff to the wife. I tend to feel falling square on the noggin toughens the little punks up. She's the careful one and keeps me in check so she'll be out there filling the garage with packing peanuts shortly. Lol |

My cousin tricked me into thinking they were cheese puffs one time by shaing them in a bag of cheetos so i ate one and choked on it then i gagged it out.... |

| Lol... guess what Seth >> I've also tricked someone into eating them!! But I went through the trouble of putting them into an old Cheese Puffs bag and told them they were a new flavor. Dude ate em and >> he gagged as well!! Lolers. He was a punk arse anyway. |
