Well, they might not be making as much as they used to on kids, but they're still doing well enough. But without a perceived market for megas/plates, why should they waste money on making them?
The REALLY stupid thing is that they're pouring all this money into Disney demos and a pro team, who can't possibly use anything else, yet they are hesitant to come out with a new pro style. The two things just don't go together. It's great that they're doing that, but I don't get why they do it while also fussing about not being able to sell pro models. |

| Nevermind Kain i thought you meant something else. But we don't hate heelys it's just not our bag that's all.(Well all of us on solidgrind.) I've made my decision (Well a while ago.) and i'm always gonna be a soaper, but like broox has said if your not into the competitive aspect of heelys then they're cool for fooling around with. |

I sense an incipient flamewar, an oldschool one complete with anatomical impossibilities, invitations to perform unnatural acts, and references to the Hindu caste system, so like a good* admin I'll add gasoline to the fire by reminding Soapers that they want exactly half of what we want, so why do they bitch so loudly and consistently? If you really want different grindplates, why don't you add to the chorus of people demanding Pro Models so we can finally clear out the wax in HSL's and various retailers' ears?

Amen to that one, Slicer!
The only reason I can think of for Soapers to hate on Heelys is the tired old "kids roll in them and annoy me" crap, and/or the fact that HSL bought Soaps and then let them more or less die.
Heelys have grind models, people! Take the wheels out if you don't want to roll! Agressive heelers want better plates, too! H2 was just recently saying she wanted T-Bone plates (or was that H4L? anyway...). Maybe if the pro model sees it's day in the sun, soapers will have more leverage to get "real" soaps back. |

Its better to work together.
Look - I'm going out on a limb and say if Heelys was called 'Soaps, the shoe with a wheel in the heel and grindplates' - then I'd be a Soaper.
Either way, I'd be skating hybrid.
There's a lesson we have to learn from Soaps (the brand, not the users). If the product fails, then we'll all be cut off from our fun. If you love it, skate it well and encourage others to do the same. I've been doing that for greater part of five years.

| If it wasn't for those people buying Heelys, using them 3 times, then deciding they "can't do it", I'd never score suce great deals on eBay!! Then again, if the company ever goes out of biz... we're all skrewed. (that's the prob w/ eBay... the company sees no profit from it). If they came out with ANYTHING that was worthy, be it a pro-model, a new grindplate/mega model, or something new and different but cool... I'd buy 4 prs (for the fam). |

Has there ever been any televised demo of Heelys? Having YouTube and word of mouth seems kinda weak vs going on ESPN 2 or something. Even local news, something out there to not only advertise to kids (cause commercials do that already) but to advertise to a larger market.
Most of the people I talk to about Heelys have yet to think sizes above a 5 exist. That also may be something we can pull together, especially with HCG coming. A news station could be called up, possibly be able to bring some attention to the little town of Zero... IDK, just a thought |

| all the tv stations down here have all made videos on heelys only 2 were good ones the otehrs were saying how they might be dangerous so to use good judgement when buying for your kid and that theyre just a fad, as far as demos being televised i saw a video on nbc i think of dave going through cones at a store with a bunch of other (at the time) northeast members, idk if that video is still up. |

@Kain- If you actually saw how many annoying spammers solidgrind has had, and still has you'd get extremely irratible because random people like to say- "Yeah, i luv hellys yeaahh ME!!" well if you got this on here almost every two weeks only people saying "Where's the soap shoes, and who knows why hsl only makes the express model." Now i gurantee you if you got that every two weeks basically it'd be annoying as hell to be on this site because it's filled with spammers. That's why people get pissed off on solidgrind because were sick of one model way longer then you guys have dreamed of a pro model, and because what i quted above is very random and stupid. If your wondering why it say grindshoe website on the home page of the site this is because-In heart it's a soap shoe website, or that's what it has turned into.Even tho it's says grindshoe mostly everyone on SG is a soap person. Do you get m Kain? @Slicer- I agree with you mostly anyway. @Merlyn- Do you know what Merlyn i would be a heelys guy if hsl marketed their product better, believe me when i saw the "Heelys 2002" video that's what i wanted to do, excluding the breakdancing lol.I would've never guess'd it'd turn into what is now.(In a good way tho.) Once i get the money we'll talk about the torches ok?
