School is necessary for survival in America. It teaches us that no matter what we do, we will all be treated like sheep by an uncaring system run by the sadistic and illogical, and that the truly right answer is irrelevant; it is only what the person holding nominal power wants to hear that is important, absolute truth being something off to the side. Similarly, by making the administrators of this system the dumbest and least effective of bureaucrats, it gives growing minds opportunities to escape, subvert, cheat, blackmail, and wholly abuse said system, being rewarded for such abuses by comedy, enjoyment and/or a high grade point average.

These are all valuable lessons that it is vitally important for our nation's young people to know. Nominal "learning", or brain exercise, or whatever, has absolutely zilch to do with it.

Of course, since I've just told you said secrets, the logical things to do are either to use such knowledge to improve the entertainment of your incarceration, or simply give your parents many good reasons to start a home study program or similar. (Private schools, depending ENTIRELY on the school, can be far better- or a frying-pan-to-fire situation. Beware.)

As for old people dropping in, the fear is much worse than the experience. Less talk, more vid. Very Happy

Gentlemen, I don't intend to drift this off course, but there is a big difference between horribly overengineered, incompetent, bureaucratic horror shows, populated by the indolent and the hopeless, progressing according to the demands of the uninformed and the completely batshit insane (see: Kansas' recent laws on evolution teaching), and some monolithic, secretive organization intending everything to be exactly as it is.

The former is what happens everywhere, the latter is what happens in the minds of room-temperature-IQ (Celsius) twits with cheap video software and a whiny voice who don't quite realize that no one in the Bush administration is smart enough to plan their own dental appointments, let alone global terrorism.

The next fucktard to confuse the two gets his message left up, but with a nice, fat (USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST) appended to it.

Back on topic. Old farts dropping in. And I don't mean the college-aged or the married-with-children Al Bundy types on this board. No. Hitting the Delete button repeatedly makes me pissed and, as a consolation, I now want to see some goddamn geriatrics. Take Grandma out of the nursing home, get her swollen, gout-ridden feet some Size 10 Torches, put her on top of a halfpipe, and hit the Record button.

As soon as all the snows gone and the ground is reasonably dry, a buddy of mine is taking me to the skate park. We'll think about bringing the video camera!!! I'm not sure I'll want to remember it....! Sorry, can't give the geriatric drop in yet, you'll have to wait another 30 years on that one!

Yes, exactly, get over the fear of it; you just have to do it
