Id say we edit it, they are not a phenomenon and they Should not be compared to heelys or inline. |

If anything it seems quite objective, and compliments heelys saying they are popular, and there's no real evidence it was written by 'jcardin' as everyone seems to be assuming. (guess the only way to know would be to check the history and ip's or whatever, not that it matters).
To me they are kinda simlar to Heelys: well, Heelys Mack at least - after all, they're shoes with wheels and heelys are too, and you shift your weight to your heels to roll like heelys, or forwards to walk like heelys. . . . Strap on skates with two wheels on the side of the back of your shoe, like Togo's, admittedly feel different to ride than one-wheel Heelys and because I'm used to Heelys I find them harder to do tricks in, but the same could be said of using Rumbles after using torchess, or FATs after Mega's. And I'm sure the same would be true the opposite way if I'd tried them first (i.e., if i learned on Togo's, I'd find Heelys tougher). One thing I notice is that having two bigger wheels on the sides means small pebbles and rough surfaces are less of a problem than with some Heely wheels. Of course, the downside of these is you can't sneak into shops with them on because the wheels are kinda obvious
As for whether they're a "phenomenon" or not, well depends how you're using the word. It seems to fit definition one, as anything that exists is a phenomenon, and they do exist.
Basically, I guess what I'm saying is: The article does not seem particularly innacurate to me. |
