Yes. Let's talk about this one earlier than necessary. Smile

One of the prime conditions should be that we can't have it anywhere near the first one. It's just not fair for major events to be locked down in specific places.

Due to the number of our users living in Texas and the absence of any major events there (It's the corporate home state, so I wonder why..?!), I hold that we should locate the 2009 Heelychat Gathering somewhere in central Texas. This will also put it in reach of our more southerly members (H4L) who couldn't make it to Michigan.

Yay/nay?

I would say yay, just that do we know of any skateparks yet? And if we do, do we know if they allow heelys? just putting that out there

id say yay, but texas is like the only other state besides the northeastern ones that are getting demos (practices at eisenburgs) and when commercial shooting comes around again, HSL gets local kids to come in and they skate with the team and come out in the commercial. No, im not talking about the local models im talking about local kids just like there. id say northwest or southeast but only me and jayson are like the known southeast people so it wouldnt really matter to have it down here so northwest maybe?

We have to go to GPX, it's in Grand Prairie. And I think it's a great idea, but slice there's actually alot of events there if you think about it lol.

I'll be selfish and agree with Seth that having the next one in the Northwest is a good idea. Smile

I can come and bring my boys, maybe learn some stuff from the pros while we're at it. Smile

There's a huge indoor park in the greater Seattle metro area and I could find out if they allow Heelys should this progress beyond wishful thinking. I'm also willing to drive a few hours if need be, but I have no idea who else is in the NW, or where a HCG-NW might take place.

I personally think that Seth has it right. It should be done at the same time as a HSL event (like the commercial shoot) or picture shoot.

More people = more fun.

I'd actually have to disagree with it coinciding with a photo shoot. You may have fun taking a couple pictures but the rest of the time your sitting around or .. sitting at a play ground for 8 hours perhaps? *shudders in harmful memory*

theres actually a surprising amount of kids that are in the northwestern region that heel, versus the few serious heelers in texas (ala brandon, britton, hidude, and heelylover) and the little kids on here who are only about 10 years old and their parents wont let them go to these demos in fear of meeting people from online. (Jrod, dont think JDH counts anymore, world13, and others)
