Read the FAQ. It's hilarious...it's like they don't even know they're a rip-off!

http://www.radicaltoyz.com/index.htm

I've already sent Heelys the website and the YouTube video.
I just don't know how they can get away with stuff.

Here's some quotes from their FAQ:

"Our product is made out of high grade plastic and our wheels are made from premium poly urethane inline skate wheels. Our bearings are ABEC-5 the highest out of all our competitors. Most of them carry ABEC-3 or ABEC-4." HA! Heelys goes to a ABEC-7.

"With Street Gliderz, we grow with your child! No need to excessively buy $80-100 dollar skate shoes every year. Buy our product just once and you'll never have to worry about your child growing out of them." If you go to some places on the internet like Houser Shoes you can get Heelys as cheap as $40 and that's only ten more than they they sell street gliderz for.

"Our heel skates are also a smoother ride than HEELYS[tm]. We've been told numerous times at fairs and carnivals that Street Gliderz are a LOT smoother because they are rollerblade wheels and give a much more enjoyable heel skating experience." Oh yeah...strapping inline wheels to your shoe is real attractive...try wearing those around the ladies!

"Our competitors are plastic wheels. Imagine that on hard asphalt. We've also sold Street Gliderz at festivals who actually put it ON TOP of their HEELYS[tm]!!! " Blatant lie. I'm 160 lbs and i've worn Heelys on asphalt, rocky asphalt to be exact and they are still smooth...not a cut, slice, or chewed up spot in 'em.

Heelys...please sue these people. They're making me angry...
I don't even think they know they're a rip-off. Here's one more quote i made up just for them: " Duh...I'm stupid. I suck and now I have inlines strapped to your wheelses. I'm wetarded...buffalo go moo...milk is chicken."

Okay okay...i'm done. Thoughts anyone?

or cheaper on eBay

the thing is, like, you have to buy soap shoes (49.99) plus their strap ons (49.99) which brings the total to 100 bucks plus after tax. Which, ironically, are the same price as Heelys in the mall with the grind plate. Plus, who cares if you can put them on ANY shoe. I doubt having a clean ass pair of DCs will look good with the Accented Glowing Lights (which you have to remove the wheel, then bearing, then a magnetic strip, then replace everything, x2 for each wheel OR buy new inline wheels, which coming from a proud owner of Salomon ST80s and K2 Camanos, aren't cheap)... I think its waste of time and effort, especially since you can just slide into your favorite pair of Heelys and be done with it...

Eh, I kinda doubt they have sex.

That's weird seeing those kids do vert with street gliders. It makes me think there's a whole team and forum like we have, but for street gliders. Like streetglidechat.

i thought the same thing.

then decided it was all just actors who actually heeled and needed the money because they got kicked out of their house so they went to street gliderz for a while and now that the commercials are over theyre probably heeling again and out somewhere under a bridge in texas.

Oh yeah.. and here's some rip-off's of the rip-offs. It's like some neverending circle. I sent these sites to Heelys too.

These are called Wheel Blazers:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wheel-Blazers/dp/B000NE3122

These are called PLIWS SuperRollers
http://www.heelskates.com/

Do a favor for heelys and if you find something that infringing on their patents, then send it to them.

Also, I'm sure you guys have hear of CruzShuz (http://www.cruzshuz.ie/). You guys should read the legal junk on their page...here it is:

"Noctor Sullivan Ltd [the "Company"] which expression shall where the context so requires includes Associate and subsidiary Companies was incorporated in the Republic of Ireland under registration number 379297 . The Companies Registration Office is at CruzShuz,Brownsbarn House, Unit W3, Ballymount Drive, Walkinstown, Dublin 12,Ireland. Ownership of this website is vested in Noctor Sullivan Ltd ["the Company"] Company registered in the Companies Registration Office, Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

This agreement or contract (including the execution hereof and performance hereunder) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Ireland. In the event of any conflict or dispute arising then the same shall fall to be determined within the jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Ireland aforesaid. Ownership of roller shoes shall vest in the Purchaser once the Order has been dispatched from the Company warehouse."

It's like they don't want anyone to understand what it's saying...we need a lawyer here. Isn't AMN one?

I had a pair of gliders and although they're alot worse than heelys for anything serious, they're so much better for small kids and people with dodgey ankles because there's a wheel either side of your foot, ergo, more stability, less chance of twisting an injured ankle... again.
Don't get me wrong, heelys are so much better, but gliders have their advantages too.
