This is the best day of my life. Please read through and comment.
So yesterday, I was talking to Seth. I was like "I need to find some Torches in Size 12", and we looked around. Of coarse, nothing came up, but a store near Seth called '123Skate' offered Heelys new 'Grind This' in my size (Size 12). I kept looking at that page. I eventually called 123Skate, and I was like,
"Hi, I'm Alec. I was wondering if you guys still have some Size 12 Grind This?"
Store guy:
"Uhh...I think we have one".
"Oh, I was wondering if you could put it on hold?"
"Sorry, I have no way of doing that".
"Can you check if that Size 12 is still in stock?"
He puts me on hold, and then I hear him asking a woman. She says:
"Nope, it just got order earlier today."
Suddenly, my hopes died down. I felt alone inside. The one opportunity to get the one Size 12 Grind This in Florida just ran away from me.
I ask:
"Who ordered it?"
The man says:
"It's ordered under 'Alec Armbruster'".
I was confused. The shoe was $99, and I have no money. Did they just give me this for free?
I said:
"But I didn't order it".
The man says:
"Uh...An older man called and ordered it for you".
Dad.
Dad.
Dad.
Happiness ran through me. I said goodbye, then sat there for a moment, watching 'Americas Funniest Home Videos', and thinking.
I'm happy. |

For a reminder:
I don't usually get this out of my dad.
Since I turned 13 one in a half years ago, he sort of stopped doing things for me, and considered him as a 'father' but a 'friend'.
