I dunno. I still stand by vert and flatland being two seperate categories. Vert and flatland are two totally different things. They can't be judged into one category. Like, what if you went to a skateboard competition and flatland and vert runs were being judged in the same two heats? You'd think they were being ridiculous.

Maybe we could have a rule for no music, so that videos aren't too much fanceh-er than others. *shrug*

So I now have officially set my mind to two seperate competitions.

Make a competition and the first thing half the people want to do is artificially level the playing field?

I find this three different kinds of disturbing.

The whole point is that someone is going to make a fancier video than the next person. What do you want, the winning video's poster to go on YT with it and get replies of "wow, that's lame"? What's next, a request of "you can't edit, so you have to film every time you fall down"?

Now, if that's what you want to do, go ahead. I will neither preside over nor participate in it. I gave up on the whole "we need to give everyone a chance" thing back in middle school.

Also, in case nobody noticed, we don't have the people for multiple competitions.

Can't do vert? Want to win? Convinced that vert is 100% necessary? Go learn vert.

I thought this was just a one time submission thing. Please clarify. Also .. how much time do we have? May is crazy for a lot of us. How about July 1st or something?

I think everyone had in mind that we'd be making multiple vids for each stage of the tournament. Bracketed elimination thing. Having just one vid make its way through each phase is kind of lame IMO.

I was thinking two week intervals for each phase, just so everyone has two weekends to do it in.

H4L and I were also kinda-sorta talking about making it double elimination, but I'm thinking that'd be a bit much to ask...

All right, we have 13 people. I'll be the odd-man- if I can make it an even tournament, by either participating or not participating, I'll do so.

Can we get three more?

Also, we don't support recycling. Please don't use vid that you've released anywhere else (public or private). Unreleased footage for use in a new vid is OK.
