Where can I get alternate wheels for my 9116 Torches? Thanks to maverick I now know about the Big Deuces, and will be hunting for a pair for my US Size 7 9116s. (I think I need 46mm, the medium size)
The original Mega's with the ABEC-7 bearings are fine, and I tried some ABEC-5 replacements but they are not as good as the ABEC-7's, so I was wondering if there were any others that are as good as or better than the ABEC-7's?

Unless you have air bubbles, you probably want to replace your bearings, not the wheel. Get some Bones Reds at a skate shop.  |

There is a vid on YouTube about changing the bearings for the wheel with a C-Clip. The other locking mechanism will be with the Coin-Axle, which just requires two screwdrivers...

Cool, I had a quick search on youtube using the search keywords "heelys" and "bearings" but didn't seem to see the vid you were mentioning, but maybe I'll have more luck once the alcohol wears off, so no worries there

| I had a video for replacing coin axle bearings and teh c-clip video is somewhere more back on the pictures and video section, mx uploaded it to his server, not youtube so it might take a while to find. |

| Nice, thanks seth. I've had the long middle "bar" out of the mega's several times to clean and WD40 it (a lubricant and rust-prevention) type thing, but the C-clip thing sounds tricky so if anyone does have a copy of that how-to vid that would be sweet. Thanks again. |

A tip to save your bearings... DO NOT USE WD-40
Better to use brake cleaner/carb cleaner. Its alcohol based so it evaps fairly quick. WD-40 is oil based, so it attracks more dirt and grime and nasties |

| Sweet thanks, I'll look into getting some. I've noticed it attracts a lot of dirt. So any "brake and clutch" type spray can on ebay should do the job, or is it the "carb and choke cleaner" type I need? |

I've just been reading up on bearings, 608s and 688s and all that. I understand from what I've read that 688s are smaller bearings which some people say is better, but I notice that all the wheels I have (2 pairs of megas and two pairs of fats) are 608s (some say 608Z, some 608ZZ) - so are 688s better? and whats with the Zs? |

OK, I got some "fuel injection intake & carb cleaner" from a car parts place. . . it says it contains methanol and xylene and whatever you do don't drink it or even breathe it. . . will that do? |
