| Is it just me, or do heelys wheels seem to get to be about the noisiest wheels invented? I've had my torches for two weeks and one of the wheels is making horrible noises. I'm going to have to throw some lube in there, but usually all my heelys wheels start making noises after a while... |

| Nah really, its more of a slight rattling noise like the wheels need lubed, but compared to actual skates, it happens way more. And yes, I have real torches, and before them I had slides which did the same thing, so to my way of seeing it, heelys wheels just come "unl-ubed" quicker. But honestly I don't care that much, just wondering if anyone else noticed the same kind of thing. |

Rattling noise?
You sure it's not air bubbles? Take a look at the core. Any raised areas on the inside?
Possibly your wheel is loose- coin axles can be tightened readily.
It *could* be your bearings... |

There are a few things you can try:
#1 Take the wheel out and look closely at it. Is there white "bubbles" in the wheel. I mean large ones like the size of a nickle or larger. If so, then you should all Heelys to get new wheels. Just call them and ask for customer service. Tell them you have a large bubble in your wheel, and its making an aweful noise.
#2 Your axle could be loose. Take them out and tighten them. If you find that the axle gets loose too oftenm then take a small bit of telfon tape. Unscrew the axle all the way and put the telfon tape on the threading. Then just screw the axle back together (with the wheel), on top of the telfon. This stops is from getting loose.
#3 Remove your spacer. In the middle of the wheel is the spacer. You can remove the spacer by removing the axle. Then, you can use a small flat screw driver to remove the bearings. Be careful, you can wreck your bearing if you accidentally stab the casing. Once a bearing is removed, the spacer just pops out. You can then replace the bearing and then axle.
#4 You may have killed a bearing. That sounds loud too. If so, you can use the method in #3 and replace the bearing. Most Heelys wheels used standard 608 bearings now. Torches (MegaWheels) use standard 608 bearings.
Good luck,
I hope this helps.

yup yup.... I was going to suggest the same thing Merlyn did..... well one of the suggestions....
My Grind This were making a horrible clicking noise and I most assuredly thought it was going to be the housing or something in the shoe.... sure enough I took the wheel out and right off the bat, was able to slide the axle back and forth..... I just needed to screw it back together and tighten it down....
Sure enuf... this ended the clicking noise and I went right back to silent heels.... give it a looksee.

Ok, I've got several questions. -_o
1. Can the weight of the heeler effect the wheel negatively? Like causing air bubbles or loose axels quicker?
2. Merlyn, did you mean heelys will replace your wheels for free when you said to call them and tell them you got air bubbles in your wheels? Cause I just bought my Escapes last week and tonight one of my wheels got a ton of air bubbles and now its gotten loosened from the plastic and is unusable. I'm unhappy...
3. What is teflon tape? The axels in both my other pairs of heelys get loose and slide back and forth NON STOP. I have to tighten them every 5 mintues literally. |

YES, the heavier a rider is, the worse on the wheels (by my observation).

YES. Though this is not a rule. They usually do.

Teflon Tape is something you get in the pumbing section at Home Depot or Lowes. Its a razor thin roll of teflon (a plastic material). |

Awesome. Thank you very much. ^_^
Most people I see on heelys probably dont even weight 180 and I'm about 250 so that probably affects my wheels, but hopfully I'll have some luck with the teflon tape and a new pair of megas. |
