I don't think I've seen people on Heelys using both feet to propel themselves, but think it is a good thing to learn.
Not sure if this is considered a "new trick" or not but again I haven't really seen it done. I have evolved my heeling technique from regular stance, to switching, to strolling, and now to true "skating" technique (for Heelys anyway). I actually alternate both feet (switching/strolling) but also lift each foot off the ground as I do so, which is comparable to real skating.
This seems to reduce friction as your are on only one foot: left - right - left -right. It is true that my stride is shorter than say on regular skates or rollerblades: each foot leaves the ground for only like a half second or so (so as to maintain balance I assume..)
Has anybody else been doing this? It seems to break up the same old "Heeling stance routine" that everybody and their mother does. |

Doesn't this kind of destroy the point? You're working a lot harder to get where you're going, with not much of a speed boost that I can see.
Also, there's already an H4L on this board.. |

HEY! That is MY NAME. DON'T you take it. You need to make a new name, because I am extremely touchy about my name. Because it belongs to me. Just thought I'd clear that up. =] (Don't take me as an arrogant snot, I just want my name to stay my name. I'm already H4L, so I don't want anyone else to be that. Thanks!)
And to steer back on topic...I do something of the sort. When I start slowing down, I do something like pushing off and it speeds me up. I'll have to make a video of it some time and I'll put it up on YT. |

Yeah, I've been trying to do something like that, but not very successfully.
I was trying to put my push-off foot at an angle but that was too much friction I guess.
There is also the propeller(propelling?) switch where you switch continuously and that propels you forward a bit.
I'd love to see some videos of both H4L and the (I'm sure accidental) impostor-H4L doing their versions! I'm having trouble visualizing the one-foot part. |

that is an alternate form of propulsion, which is the same basis as regular propulsion but it takes more ork and is less eficcient. Dont worry about what H4L was saying about the name, you can keep the name, Welcome to heelychat |
