I just bought some Heely's for work, Black Atomics. (The Idea for using them for work, I must say, came from 'employee of the month') I run a youth center, and I am constantly running around my room, back and forth.
My question is, are these good shoes for short, quick zips around a room with quick stops? How good are these shoes, what are their potential?
Thanks for any help. |

Oh yeah, they can be really useful for work. I used to use them for my paper route, they were perfect. I couldn't use things like rollerblades because I had to go inside some buildings and climb stairs etc etc. But heelys were perfect. Now, I use them at the store I work at. They are a great help when I am stocking coolers, lots of runnning back and forth involved.
So yeah, go ahead and give them a try, just be sure you are decently skilled first so you don't hurt somebody. |

i wear some of the white/black/red atomics to work depending on who is manager that day lol. The atomics are nice but they leave some to be desired it terms of comfort. |

Cool, I just want to be able to zip around the room without tuckering my self out. I work with kids, mediating, (or diciplining) and i am consantly running back and forth across the room. I just wanted functional skates that looked classy, and would let me transition from walking to heeling well. |

yeah the atomics are the best for their stealth and style. although theres not as much padding as the other models they are a great pair. What i dont like about having small stopd on the way to another place is that you stop a bit farther then where you want so you have to stop early.
Welcome to heelychat by the way |

Thanks for the help and the warm welcome, guys. Its been very helpful. through this forum I re-discovered and found a love for heeling again, I am so lucky to have found some size 13 atomics, too. as shopping for huge sizes can crush the sport for some, im told. |

Glad to hear we were able to help you. and yah, those lack of large sizes can reall discourage some people from getting them. |

Slip? I just called up Finish Line. They say there are no size 13 Atomics in Men's, and that the size 13 are Children's. Also, the sizes go from 1-8 and then 13, which would logically put the 13 behind the 1. What's going on? |

Slicer,
You had me worried there! I just called finish line and they confirmed, the shoes are size 13's, plus, mine just came today, and the are mens 13's.
perhaps your customer service rep was confused? |

I actually am a independent contractor for heelys. I spoke to a heelys rep, and he said size 13 atomics were never made. Sorry but you must be confused |

You wouldn't happen to have a digital camera would you Slippery? Pull the tongue out and let's see that. Because it'd be really weird if you got something that everyone else believes doesn't exist.. |
