So far (~ 3 weeks since I got my heelys I think) I've fallen about 5-6 times, and every single time I fell backwards and land on my butt. Even though I was trying different things at the time I fell.
Why is that? Am I doing something wrong? (that's probably hard to answer without actually seeing me do it, but still, maybe it's a common problem or something)
Is it bad/dangerous to fall backwards? should I try falling some other way? |

You're leaning too far back. |

OR you still havnt gotten control of your backfoot so when it slips up next to your front foot your weight shifts to the back and you fall....on your a$$ |

Again, Seth is probably right on the money.
If you don't watch your back foot and it creeps up suddenly to your front then -

You always need to keep your back foot and front foot separated. Also, try to lean forward slightly while riding |

Learn more forward, lean your feet down a little bit closer to the ground when you ride.
Get better balance.
