<  Tips Tricks & Techniques  ~  Why do I always fall on my butt?

So far (~ 3 weeks since I got my heelys I think) I've fallen about 5-6 times, and every single time I fell backwards and land on my butt. Even though I was trying different things at the time I fell.
Why is that? Am I doing something wrong? (that's probably hard to answer without actually seeing me do it, but still, maybe it's a common problem or something)

Is it bad/dangerous to fall backwards? should I try falling some other way?

OR you still havnt gotten control of your backfoot so when it slips up next to your front foot your weight shifts to the back and you fall....on your a$$

Again, Seth is probably right on the money.

If you don't watch your back foot and it creeps up suddenly to your front then -

You always need to keep your back foot and front foot separated. Also, try to lean forward slightly while riding

mhm, i always fall backwards (except when i not succeed a manual)... but therfor are my wrist protectors Very Happy

well you should have the refleses to use your arms to cushion ur fall.

yup thats right sprained wrist. It has happened to ALOT of people on here including H4L and I.

Learn more forward, lean your feet down a little bit closer to the ground when you ride.

Get better balance.
