eehhh rain absolutely ruins bearings. I would not want to risk it and have to replace the bearings.

Most new Heelys take 608s. As long as you know how to take apart your axle, you can replace the bearings.

Wheels themselves might be hard to find, depending on what you're trying to get.

Bearings, however, are usually standard 608s, which are skateboard bearings. You can buy them at any skate shop. Bones Reds are highly recommended. Some bearings are 688 Micros but I don't think Heelys makes wheels that take those anymore.

Again, it's all a matter of taking apart your axles.

riding in the rain story..

me and some friends were long boarding and were hanging out taking a break by a fountain. we decided it would be fun to all ride through it, so we did. well the next trip out one of my back bearings got really sticky, so i just ignored it and kept going...untill i felt my trucks and they were so hot they gave me a blister after just toughing them. As it turned out my bearings seized, and when i kept riding on them the seized bearings created a ton of heat and fully melted my rubber wheel to the bearings. to get the wheel off the truck i had to take a hacksaw to the rubber wheel and cut through it all of the way until i hit bearing, then i could get a screwdriver in and pry off the rubber wheel that was fused to the bearing. it was a mess haha. moral of the story...dont get your sh*t wet
