I've been reading most of them, but this one's got to be the worst.

LOL @ the initial link.
Have to say I think what Wikileaks did was going a bit too far: I'm usually all for freedom of speech but if the information they publish on the locations of key infrastructure leads to a terrorist attack and real lives lost, then I'd rather they use a little more discretion.
So whilst (this time) I think that Assange dude let it go too far, I also think the charges against him sound a little trumped up - I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist but this seems a little fishy, even to me: guy upsets governments, suddenly a load of previously dropped charges are brought against him? I mean, come on, they need to be a little more inventive and a little less obvious lol.
Of course I may be wrong since "politics" is defnitely not my strong suit, but that's just my 2 cents. |

Wikileaks is actually doing quite a number of redactions. I've read the list; although a lot of it has implications for US infrastructure and manufacturing, none of it has the high-profile status a terrorist seeks. (And why the fuck is the US relying on foreign-made vaccines anyway?)
I'm not nearly as nice as Julian and his cohorts. If it were me, I would have just mass-mailed the entire unredacted 250k-cable archive to everyone I knew, with a side order of MegaUpload and RapidShare, before starting a Pirate Bay torrent, with the file name "I DID IT FOR THE LULZ.rar".
Okay, okay, I'm lying.. I would have sold it to the Iranians, Russians, and the Chinese, let them think I wasn't going to give it to anyone else, set up a nice little villa in a place where rich people are God and it's hard to get extradited from, THEN distributed it. |
