Well, here I am playing Final Fantasy XIII, just inserted Disk 2 for Xbox. my xbox is out in the middle of the room so it can connect to Xbox Live (easier to just move the xbox and connect then to have to reset the Wifi adapter). So I'm playing, and suddenly the doorbell rings. My dog sprints across the room to the door, knocking over the xbox and yanking out the chords.

The damage: A big cut into the disk 2. But it hasn't affected that much. It took a while, but i realized that the only thing is that after I save, the game crashes a minute later.

The resolution: After every save, I restart the system. Now I don't save as much, but it hasn't been too much of a problem. Only 1 more chapter to Disk 3!

This is more for Slicer to laugh at

Okay, is the damage on the top or the bottom of the disk? And how deep is it?

If it's shallow, there's stuff you can buy at Gamestop to buff out the scratch. Some places even have DVD-buffing equipment, like a local used game store. Ask if you can borrow theirs- they'll take it through a 15-second spin and voila.

If it's affected the *top* of the DVD at all, you're completely screwed- that's where the data is stored.

Also, you REALLY shouldn't need to move your Xbox around to connect to wifi...

Oh, and PS3 doesn't have a "disk two". That's what Blu-Ray is for Very Happy

it's an ethernet cable, not much of a move but the dog ran through the chord brining everything with it.

And yes, i'm screwed. But almost on chapter 10, which is disk 3. I really dont care that much, but i feel sorry for whoever decides to borrow it in the future
