I want to pump that magnet up. . .

Think it's worth a shot, ME?

If the other components also have some head-room and there's no current limiting feature built in, it might run brighter for a while, but could start to make interesting burning smells and maybe some smoke. Smile

There's an idea: wheels with a built in smoke-machine LOL - well we already got the disco lights eh? Very Happy

But yeah, probably not worth the trouble unless you have spare pairs. It's the same with everything you soup-up - car engines, computers etc - if you run the same components on higher power, you might shorten the component life. The brightest flame really does burn quickest, at least it usually does when it comes to electronics and mechanics. Smile

Yeah, the C-clips might be accidentally bent if you're not careful, fortunately they're pretty easy to bend back, and interchangeable with other Heelys Mega C-clips, so you can nick some off your Ninja's or whatever if you break one. Smile The way to take them off without damage is to only open them a little bit with the c-clip pliers and wiggle them to see if it's far enough to slide them over the axle, and if not, open just a little more, and give it another wiggle... if you do accidentally open them too far and bend them, carefully use standard grips or a vice to bend them back, although they probably will not be as tight as before if they're opened too much.

In the case of megawatts, unless I cut my own axle with the additional points for mounting the magnet, I can't replace it with a coin axle in this instance as I usually would, but here's a little tip:

I sometimes fix loose c-clip wheels by adding a thin M8 washer of the right thickness behind one of the c-clips, to hold them tight to the bearings and prevent them from making the dreaded axle clicking noises. If you get the washer thickness right it doesn't slow the wheel, and this way you have axles that never come undone. Smile

I have a new gripe.

THE LIGHT-UP PART NO LONGER WORKS on one!

I spin it and all I hear is this clicking sound like there's an electric short (there was before, but it still lit up) and the light-up part just sits there. Other one works fine, no clickly clicky.

And I've worn them outside maybe... oh... twice? Three times?

I can has quality control plz?

If Heelys wants it, I'm going to send this thing to them on Monday.

I thought they were made in Korea with the rest of the shoe?

Hmm Slice .. you might be right. Not sure about the new wheel. But the other wheels came out of China.

All the new Heelys are now made in China exclusively.

Well, after getting my replacement MWs in a brown envelope, I can say with a good deal of certainty that there's no current packaging to sell them separately.

(Since I sent one broken one to get two back, I now have a spare. I hope I won't need it...)

I can say that they fulfill their real intended purpose: chalk up 1x "WOAH" from a kid at the laundromat.

Exactly what the heck did they have to do to get this pic? Did they just tell him to put his feet up, spun up his wheels, and then quickly yanked their hands out of the frame before they took the picture? Brand new, they stay spinning less than a second, depending on how fast you can move your hands.

By the way, that's Heelys' NEW new CEO, Tom Hansen.

I WAS THERE WHEN THEY TOOK THAT Very Happy

and slice, it's all editing. They probably used lightsource on photoshop and cut tom out then upped the contrast on everything. I mean look at the shoes in the background and how like not real they look. Those are the actually shoes on the heelys wall though.

btw, tom is pretty darn cool.
