I was thinking about making a post about all the different skating metaphors I keep hearing that make me think of heelys.
If someone wants you to speed up they say "get your skates on." If they're talking about slowing down they say "dig your heels in." At least those phrases are common here in England, not sure about the US? 
So, it seems the general populace has always known that you can do things faster and better with skates, even if they don't KNOW they know.  |
