I'm having trouble deciding what heely's to get. It's between Evos and Torch's. The problem is that i don't have a decent skate park in town, but i want to do vert! |

If you're in the US both of those are hard to find, so if you find either for a reasonable price, count yourself lucky. At least once a month a new pair of Torches goes on ebay for $20 or less, the trick is finding them in your size. If I remember right you're a 7 like me, which makes it easier. If you were an 11 or 12 you'd have more difficulty sourcing a new US pair.
As to the question, the soles/wheels/plates are identical, only diff is the uppers. I prefer the 9117 (red torch) or 9092 (yellow evo), but that;s just personal preference. As I say, get what you can. Torch will probably be easier to find since they have been discontinued for less time. |

Oops, there's one more diff I forgot about torched and evo's, LOL. And it's a big one: the wheels. Evo's have softer two-part wheels called "Big Deuces" - they're slower on vert so not well suited to that, but they catch less rocks on street, so safer there. Torches have standard mega's. Both have heelys yellow ABEC-7 608 bearings and coin axles making them easilly replaceable for better aftermarket bearings with a little know-how. I recommed Torches (since you asked). The ankle surround feels SLIGHTLY lower to me, meaning you got more foot maneuverabillity. |

Oh Mav, you missed the obvious rhyme (It will die, and you will cry)
Obi: "die" as in get air bubbles (the clear squishy outer will get separated from the black core, meaning it makes farting noises when you roll, and gets stuck etc)
