Well, just in case some of the new members (or people who don't read the board often?) are not aware, for clarity's sake I will restate the case regarding the Pro's as it currently stands: the black version of Pro Series are "out" . . . but currently only sold in European stores like Heeler Store and SkatePro so the prices would be more than what US people would be happy paying. The latest information we've heard is that hopefully they may be stateside by March'09, but then again there's been several previous promised US release dates that haven't been honoured, so I nobody can say for certain. Wink

Only a few people stateside have been lucky enough to nab some so far to my knowledge: H2 (won from the comp), Seth, and Big Mac. Smile

Heelynut bought some from a Korean distributor but sadly the shipping price is a little steep and they're not really keen on taking small personal orders. Wink

At last check the Grey/White/Red version of Pro's have been manufactured and the first consignment shipped the the distributors in Belgium, and Achim from Heeler-store is hoping to receive some soon, but so far no stores have actually recieved stock. Of course I'll let you know if I hear any update on this as it's the red-plate Pro's I fancy Smile

You have to look at what you CAN do and what you WANT to achieve while skating..

If you have no intentions WHAT SO EVER to EVER do vert PERIOD for the REST OF YOUR LIFE (or until you have money to buy another pair) then I would go with the GTs. In my mind they are far more comfortable then Evos and if all you're going to do is street and tech skating, then they are a good pair of shoes for the money.

If you even have the SMALLEST inclination of doing vert then I would roll with a Megas model. As already discussed by our friends up above Pros are only available to a select few. If you have a money tree in your back yard I would pick up a pair, but that's just because you can say you have a shoe that only .0001% of the heelers own. If you are like the rest of us and do NOT have a money tree in your back yard, then Evos or Torches. Torches may be easier to find as they have been discontinued from being manufactured (correct me if I'm wrong) only a little while ago so they still have some shelf life vs Evos which have been stopped for at least a couple of years.

I never used macks a day in my life so I have no idea the plus sides of them, but seeing how they do not make a model of them anymore and seeing how there were only a few shoes with the Mack design, I would probably stay away from them...

So there's my two cents on the topic, take it or leave it
