I really wish I could have skated with you before you retired, but it's ok.

You're really awesome, and I hope you are successful in whatever you move on to.

That trailer/teaser looked pretty bad-ass/promising, Buffo!

There's a (local to me) VW group WagenWerks that uses rollerblades to film some pretty creative shots. Maybe I'll talk em into giving Heelys a shot?!?

I'll respond to the movie thing.
I'm going to be blunt, 'cus that's how I am sometimes.
The acting feels wooden and forced.
The skating looks great, and the story looks good too.
My main issue, though, is that I really don't see this helping Heelys at all. At BEST, it might give people the idea that Heelys are useful as a poor man's steady-cam. I didn't see any tricks on Heelys. Maybe there are some, I don't know, but the focus is still squarely on the skateboarders. The fact that the cameraman is on Heelys will be little more than a footnote, and probably a cause for finger pointing and laughter from the skaters who go see it.
Maybe some more Heelys will sell to the people the skaters of the nation convince to film them for their next YouTube video. But promote Heelys in a way that skaters will respect? I don't think so.

I'd rather see the same movie with Heelys as the mode of rolling for the main characters, but I guess that's too risky. I mean really, who would go see a movie about extreme heelers?

I watched the trailer but hope there's more Heelys in the film than in the trailer. I like skateboards too but the post made it sound like Heelys would be a big thing in the film and I didn't see much of them in it.

Hey Dave, sorry I'm late to jump on the bandwagon.

I want to thank you for everything you've done for me, be it making a video tutorial to teach me how to jump in or having life-altering conversations that help me to change the way I think about things. You were extremely supportive of me from the very beginning and I want to thank you for that. Thanks also for taking time to skate with me whenever you came out to Cali and for taking time to skate with me when I went out to NY. I hope that we can still skate or something when you come back out here.
Well, it's been a VERY fun two years, and I've learned a lot. I really appreciate everything, and I know you'll succeed in the next thing you put your mind to. :]

I've always admired how you (and Seth) are so comfortable with yourselves: never scared to make people laugh, even by making a total goof of yourself. That kind of confidence will get you far in life.

You've grown up so much in the past two years. But don't ever stop being a kid. Take it from an "old dog" like me. Staying young at heart keeps things interesting your whole life.
