Just peeped an In-Store Demo on the calendar on the Heelys site in NY/Dec. Is that a hint that maybe possibly the ISDs are coming back?? I would love to see them back up and running and think it would be a great advertising tool. I'm not sire if it was deemed a 'failure' in the past, but I can attest personally that not enough was done to get the word out. I'm ready to see it happen again and see it happen RIGHT. I'm talking CORRECT dates on the calendar, local advertisement, pre-arrangment with the shops to set-up accordingly, vid coverage, properly stocked equip @ the shops (hated showing up at a Nordy's with only size5 Fleets period?!), ramps and rails if space allowed, music, etc, etc, etc....
I know.... it isn't really gonna go down like that but a d00d can pipedream, right!?!? Lol. |

O.? <--- is dazed and confused...
But about your pipe dream, I agree things SHOULD be done, but the ability to find and hold a team long enough to scrap together an ISD seems too complicated for Heelys.
I think we should take it down a notch to HSL's level and work up...
Step 1 - Your company is known for putting wheels in shoes... Yet you fail at that too... So where should we start? |

| I recently talked to Joe, marketing/PR dude at Heelys. I'll talk about why later when I have more to say. But I WILL say that he said more than once that the wheel-less shoes are not something that the current people in charge are enthused about, that there are some really cool new models coming out, and that they already have plans in the making to work on Heeyls' public image. Personally, I think ISDs would fit in well with the stuff I heard, but he didn't specifically mention them. I'd like to see some ISDs myself in person. The one I tried to go to was a no show, which was disappointing. |
