"Gok Wan" raised an interesting point in his inaugural thread about what does or doesn't go with Heelys. I myself have recently purchased some heelys just because I think they will go really well with some of my favourite clothes - for instance I bought some all white heelys as I have some all white clothes which I like to wear - is very "Equilibrium" if you know what I mean Very Happy

So I was thinking what about doing it the other way round too: choosing clothes that you think will go well WITH given heelys.

Feel free to post pics of clothes, which heelys they will go with, etc. Would be nice to have some good serious suggestions, but comic ones are always fun too (as that togoskate guy with the purple hat proved lol).

When I want to look slammin, I will wear my Averex button up shirt with my South Pole Pants and my Fury 7370. Its very black and white, looks pretty saucey. I also keep my GTs in easy access when I wear my South Pole skull shirt and a nice silver watch to make me leanin when I take my car out... Nothing like showing off your car while doing a UFO across a handrail ^_^

As for my Evos... I wear them to skate... IDK what I wear with those, as long as I have a good run...

I do want to get some light brown Rumbles though, I'll dress them bad boys up like some Timberlands, and it will be gone...

I'll post pics if this thread doesn't get lost when I'm ready

I have a "Punisher" tshirt which I reckon would go nice with some of them new bones heelys and some skull laces - if a little overdone Smile

I have the paler rumbles and my sister has some timberlands but I can't quite imagine what you mean, probably because I don't really know very much about fashion and designer gear or maybe I am missing a joke in what you said knowing me Smile - how would you "dress them up like Timberlands" ? Smile

Umm... I can make heelys work with just about everything. I'm pretty much a jeans & t shirt (and hoodie. Dang I love those!) kinda dude. Also, no 'fence, but wikipedia described gok won as "Openly Gay"

*STILL has this unimaginably weird vision of Merlyn wearing Evos and a business suit, playing a crucial role in a meeting at the same time he's doing tricks on a halfpipe...*

Its happened .. on a conference call. I was skating .. they called my cell .. I didn't want to stop skating (long meeting) .. so I just put it on mute, slapped on my headset .. and took the rest of the meeting while skating.

Whenever I'd have something useful to contribute, I'd just unmute. One portion tho ... I forgot to mute and started skating .. and everyone was like WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!?! I muted it and giggled.

That's what they get for calling me on my day off.

Nothing wrong with that in my book. I'm not gay myself but I know some people who are, and being gay does not make you a bad person. As long as someone ain't trying to force their sexuality on me, I have no problem with people being different. Smile

But to get back on topic:

Totally agree - I love wearing mine at work. They have a "suit and shoes" dress code, but if they think I'm taking off my heelys for something as trivial as that they can sack me, LOL. (luckily I know they won't because they've been wanting to save money by cutting staff for ages but I have the luxury of doing a job nobody else currently can) Smile

Jeans and a shirt tehn whatever shirt im wearing i choose a pair of my 31 pairs that has the color somewhere on the shoe, if i dont feel like wearing that pair i wear my black evos, black torches or furys. black doesnt look funky with anything unless your wearing all white lol. I usually like white shoes though so i try to wear whit shirts alot.

I refuse to play the "fashion game" I just wear whatever is clean and comfortable. My heelys are both! I like the torches better on hot days though, because they breathe. If I have meeting/presentations or interviews, I have to give into the shallowness of the fashion game though, but I usually can't wear heelys to those things anyways so it doesn't matter how they look!

Hard to ghost ride a manual Very Happy lol

Actually, funny story...

There are a bunch of tuners and racers out here in Colorado Springs, and we gather at this closed down Grocery Warehouse every Friday night to show off the cars, talk to people about parts, etc. Its kinda like our Nopi lol jk.

But anyways, there was this dude who rolled up in a newer Cadillac and decided he was going to "ghost ride the whip" in which he was doing his little dance/jig/thing and completely has no idea what his car is doing...

In the long run, he ran it into a brand new Evo IX MR with full bolt ons right in the left front corner panel, completely wrecking the air intake, hood, body kit, and intercooler

Needless to say we haven't seen the ghost rider around anymore ^_^

Hehe, so I take it ghost riding is driving your car with one Heely out the door on the floor, or maybe just leaning in through the window to steer (no feet in the car) ?

Cool. Smile I used to be into that scene in my early 20s - here when tuners and racers meet up they call it a "cruise-meet" or just "cruise." (Cruising - There's another one of those words that can mean something completely different in the USA, eh?).

Respect for driving a manual, as I understood it not many people in the US of A can "drive stick" ? (or maybe the TV gave me the wrong impression?) Smile

I still love my cars and all that, I just don't seem to find time to go to the meets these days, and since the "fast and the furious" films a lot of idiots seem to have joined the scene who try to do similar things to the guy you mentioned, and I don't fancy getting my car wrecked. Smile

Disclaimer: I am NOT saying people should do this, just that it could be done. Smile

That can be done in a manual - you just put it in first and let it roll at idle, assuming your car has enough torque at idle it shouldn't stall, at least I know mine wouldn't but then again mine's a 1 year old car with one of those fancy electronic control units that regulates the fuel so that it doesn't stall - maybe some cars would stall with no foot on the gas?

My car can ride up hills with no foot on the gas in first, second, and third gears, so it'd definitely do it on a flat parking lot in first. My first gear rolls at about 4mph since it's a close ratio box (gives faster acceleration but lower top end speed), so it should be doable but I don't think I wanna risk it - the police would have my ass if they saw me, which, knowing my luck, they would. Smile

The hardest bit would of course be the entry and exit of the vehicle whilst it was rolling. . . you don't wanna slip and let the back wheels run over you.
