Hey mates,
I will be performing on Heelys in a dance-theatre-shakespeare play this August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. If any of you will be in the area it may very well be worth the trip to come out and see Heelys showcased on a mainstage professional production. Ask MerlynDHZ about it, he saw it.
"Pericles Redux" at the Pleasance One Theatre. August 1st-25th.
and...
anyone want to meet up and skate? I would absolutely love to meet fellow pro-level skaters in the UK.
Please send any replies to this post that you want me to read to my mobile e-mail account:

How much do you think entrance to the play would be? I'd like to meet another heeler but it would be an expensive trip for me unless I already hapenned to be there on business or whatever: about a day's drive so I'd have to drive up the day before, spend a night in a hotel, see the play/meet, then spend another night in a hotel to be fresh enough to do the drive back. . .
Also, I'm nowhere near "pro" level yet - can do a few tricks and grinds but that's it, so I'm probably not what you're looking for.
BTW, I watched that whole trailer you linked to, and whilst I found it compelling from an artistic point of view I didn't see the heelys? I saw some people who looked to be moving "as if" they were on wheels, but I think that was just the usual dancer's grace. Unless I missed something?
If you happen to be any further south in England, rather than Scotland, let me know: I'd gladly meet up. |
