i think your doing great! Once you get backwards down you should start switching feet. Once you can change feet pretty quickly in a fast motion 180's and 360's should come naturally. Good luck! |

Next is the 180 -
Which ever foot is lead foot when you're going backwards is the foot that should be lead when you're going forward preparing for the 180. You'll also be turning in that direction.
So for instance, when you go backwards, if you like to have your right foot leading (you're going backwards, so whichever foot is beyond your butt):
- First start going forward with your right foot leading.
- Rotate your shoulder and hip right and make a "V" with your feet.
- At about 90 degrees, start to switch your feet so your right is going behind you.
- You soon be going backwards (which should be natural for you).
There - you completed a 180!
Then is the "Revert" -
A revert is simply flipping from going backward to going forwards, while on the wheels. You may already know this trick.
Say you like the right foot leading when you're going backwards (again, the one beyond your butt):
- You'll be going backwards, right foot leading.
- Then quickly rotate to the right until you correct yourself and go forwards.
Finally the 360
A good way to learn the 360 is to learn the 180 and then the revert. When you have them done immedately one after the other, you'll have a smooth 360.
Hope that helps.

I've had mine for more than a month, and ALL I can do it go forward!
Then again, I didn't know much else was POSSIBLE until I found this place I'll be getting to work on the double to learn some tricks....
Being 27 and having no coordination doesn't help Plus, I'm 6'2... So I can say that having a high center-of-gravity holds me back Excuses, excuses, I know.... |
