That's legit. Before I went turbo, my car was all suspension, Go-Kart status stiff. Very fun getting 3 wheels around corners, and teetering on 2 going up driveways sideways lmao.

Offroad vids? sadly no. But I can share a few pics.

Me and my Trans Am fellow dirt trail driver lol

OLD PIC, before I raised it, did clutch and added lights.

(buddy had the bolts on his front drive shaft shear off, So I towed him lolol)

Here she is peeking out from our bowl spot

Good times, before they smoothed the trail and ruined it, I had some really crazy rally type runs. Whoever thinks you NEED an ebrake to drift fwd...lol

Haha Random!

No, I'm working on saving my paychecks, buying tools to replace my missing ones(just bought some), gaskets for the engine rebuild(just bought some)...ect..ect...

It's going to take awhile still but the red car will be something to seriously behold, the crown vic louvers.. I am very excited to see how they come out.

Sijnce you mentioned the louvers I figured you were following along, lol It's a long story.

I bought an 89' 626 GT (4 door hatchback version of my car) for $500 with a failing automatic trans.

Everything that made the silver car fast and stiff, will be transplanted into the 5 door.

Transmission, suspension, interior goodies...yadda yadda.

Here is about as far as I have gotten

Engine from the silver car is chilling in the chair.

Engine will be staying in the red car, for now I will just be swapping drivetrains.

ain't no one got time to go through that hundred page thread lol! Cool
why do you need to change drivetrains? I wouldn't think them interchangeable since they're different layouts (sedan vs hatch)

Actually its quite the opposite. The only difference is the body shape and number of doors.

Suspension, engine layout, drivetrain layout, wiring..all the same.

88-92 mazda 626 = 88-92 MX-6

To be removed: auto trans, axles, hubs, shifter

Going in:

5spd trans, axles, hubs, clutch pedal assembly, shifter, shifter linkage.

ECU and everything electronic doesn't have to be messed with.

The dying automatic cant find 3rd gear and barely went into 2nd..

I'm not replacing a bad auto with a good auto, when I'd rather be driving manual lol.

Also, it will be making close to 300ft/lbs of torque at 12psi haha so I'd rather not be losing power and breaking auto transmission everyday.
