Tuesdays with Morrie,
Fahrenheit 451,
and Bleachers (or we could've read Girl with Pearl Earrings instead of this one... since it's really manly..... but girl with pearl earrings sounded suckish)

Yeah, I had a 4 journal entries that had to be a page long... so, 4 pages.

But only for one of the books, and they were mostly easy reads.

whats with all of the underclassmen reading ferenheit 451?? I read that for fun last year and it isnt easy. Its pretty deep. Unlike to kill a mockingbird, which was just about racism and some dumbass rednecks. I read tuesdays with morrie last year for school. Also a stupid book. I honestly dont care about some dying guy's life lessons. The best book ive read was Into Thin Air my sophmore year. If you dont read it for school i suggest reading it anyways. It was good.

Fahrenheit is a required book for freshmen here. It's good but deep, i'm a good reader though. Freshman reading on a sophomore college level Smile (can't spell for my life though)

I'm a former (and sort of current) band geek! I hated marching band though, I can't walk in step and play...

I'm not sure most college sophmores CAN read so wiz you might not want to broadcast that too far! Judging by the class papers I graded over the last couple years, they are about as literate as kindergarteners.... Although I think the kindergarteners might beat some of them! It's pretty amazing how low the standards are for college. I believe the entrance process goes something like this: are you smart? No. Okay, so do you have money? Yes. Okay will you give it to us if we let you in? Yes. Congratulations and welcome to college!

Seriously one of my SENIORS in a chemistry class got a 9/100 on an exam. 5 of those points were because he made me laugh by covering his test in drawings of naked pirates. The other 4 for at least attemptng to answer two questions. I failed him, but the prof in charge changed it and he PASSED a 400 level chemistry class on drawings of naked pirates. When I asked why the prof said it was "because he wouldn't have graduated on time if he failed". WOW.

Mind blowing isn't it! I was thinking he shouldn't have graduated if he couldn't pass required courses.... but then universities want MONEY and graduating people brings them money. This kid already had a job lined up too (SCARY, cause he couldn't tell his ass from his head) that required him to have a degree. Our department cares more about job stats than grades apparently.

HAHAHAHAHA naked pirates in a senior chemestry class. Thats beautiful.

The average score for the 1st semester biology exam in one of my teacher's classes was 24%. This kid branden, got a 26% by filling in the bubble sheet so the bubbles read "jesus". Then when the teacher asked him why the hell he bubbles in "jesus" for the answer he replied with "because jesus is ALWAYS the answer"

Wiz, I'm sure you're a smart guy! I'm just saying college sophomores can be morons. I've taught them, I know. I'm also probably not the best judge of that, because like you, I've always been way ahead of the curve.
