I wouldn't call it the Best Hand Held ever. Probably better then any other Hand Held that Nintendo has put out, but the PSP still takes the cake for a better library of games and things to do on it (DS-i still cannot watch videos or surf the actual internet).

If you want to talk about the best hand held of all time it was the Sega Game Gear hands friggin' down. Nintendo released the GameBoy (with out being in color) and Sega's response was to throw a 3.58 MHz processor with a 3.2" screen capable of 160 x 144 resolution. The down side was batteries (I remember buying batteries by the bundle, going through 18 in a matter of a day until I got the rechargable one). But still, color screen on a portable gaming system was virtually unheard of (because honestly, who here owned an Atari Lynx or a TurboExpress?). Nintendo didn't put out GameBoy color until 1998, almost 1 decade AFTER the release of the Game Gear.

I miss my old Lynx and Game Gear. Both were awesome. Shame Sonic 2 on GG was so hard...

I miss my zx spectrum, commodore amiga, vic 20, atari, sega megadrive... lol, man what a geek I was Very Happy

But handhelds, I miss my original B/W Gameboy. Very Happy Of course, if we're talking portable not intended for gaming, I miss my Psion Organiser II, models CM, XP, LZ, and LZ64. I loved that OPL basic program language - was one of the first High Level Languages I ever wrote code for, and I was good at it. Of course it's about as obselete as Fortran now. Sad

I would miss my Psion Series 3 and 5 but they're still here and still working. Very Happy

Ah, the good old days of computing. <3

ME,

I still have my B/W gameboy! The battery life is terrible and you have to play in well-lit areas, but it was the coolest thing ever when I got it! I think my sister has it right now, but in a year or two when I upgrade to the DSi, I'll give her my DS lite. Course, right now, I'm rocking the PSP, my friend and I traded systems for a few weeks so he could play MarioKart with the other guy on his night shift job...
