Vehicles, including bicycles, are forbidden due to the throngs of people.

If there was only some way of being able to save motion in travel.. some sort of wheels one could walk around with...

If you'd ever been to DC, you'd know how unlikely it would be to actually heel there. The roads haven't been paved in years, thereby showing quite a number of potholes and just overall rough roads.

Add to that the 2 million people (of which I was one), and there simply wasn't room for it. BTW... if you see any video from near the Washington Monument (national phallic symbol), look for bright orange gloves to the left... that's me (well, my hands, but you get the point)..

True dat. Smile Our roads are the same. . . literally made up of thousands of razor sharp stones. . . makes good grip for car tyres but doesn't half shred up human flesh pretty easy. Very Happy
