In a lot of places in the UK we have brick-paved streets - these have large "cracks" (actually neat indentations between every brick rather than breaks/cracks but w/e) about every 3 inches - in this case even kick-switching unfortunately wouldn't work, because you'd have to do it every few inches, but I found a sort of solution:

I noticed that big cracks/dents are less likely to stop Mega's if you skate over them at an angle, say 45 degrees. If you skate straight over them the wheel goes down, but if you do it at an angle, the width of the wheel will mean that as you cross each crack, one side is on the far side of the gap whilst the other bit of the wheel is on the near side - still a bit of a teeth chattering ride if you go fast but it works Very Happy

Yeah, I find myself doing the same thing.

Although on sidewalks I seem to be doing this weird sort of dance...

I just say ride in the street... 2 possible outcomes:

- Get Hit by a Car
- Hit a rock

Both of which are better excuses for biffing it then cracks lol
