Well, the article posted by Deez shows that the UK does seem to also have these call signs, but here you never see them much, and it apparently isn't law here that stations must state them as they do in the US. Whenever I watch US television shows, the radio stations always seem to have the call sign plastered over the building in huge letters, as if it's their only name. For example just last night I was watching "The Simpsons" and they had it like this:



And the other week on the film "Bruce Almighty" the station he works at was called WKBW.. . . it seems these call signs are shown a lot on US TV, so Seth, if real life has the call signs shown even a fraction as much as TV implies they do, then I'm suprised you can actually live in the US and never have noticed them? Smile
