Had some spare time today and decided to see if I could improve on the look of some of my Heelys, by subtly altering the colour schemes.
Since the 9094 "spidey" Evo's have a lot of red bits, I thought they'd look better with red laces and insoles as opposed to the usual black. So, which do you people think looks best - the redded up one, or the standard black?
The red insoles are definitely more comfortable: they're really thick and designed to stop repeated shocks from heel impacts from making your legs hurt - cost about $30 USD but well worth it |

Hehe, you're right (PMSL, lol)- It's weird because with most hobbies I get interested, spend a thousand bucks buying all the gear, and then 2 weeks later when I've got it all I'm bored of it. But for some reason I just really love Heelys - I've no idea why - if a year ago someone had told me I'd be spending all this money and time on shoes with wheels, I'd have thought they were off their rocker |

Might have to try that diff lace on each foot thing - it would help with working out which foot is which when recording vids of how you do some fancy footswapping tech-skate tricks LOL.
I got bored again, so you know how Torches have extra lace-holes: like 2 eyelets at the bottom, then 3 lugs up the side, but then at the top there's two eyelets on each side, sorta one behind the other, one set of which is almost always left empty. . . well, I decided to set myself the challenge to see if I could neatly and evenly fill every lace-hole (both lugs and eyelets) in a way that worked and didn't look like a mess either. Here's my result: it requires two sets of short laces for each shoe
And yeah, it took about an hour to figure out and do. . . Like I said I was bored.
I actually like the way it feels to lace - when it's tied, it's tight because there's two sets of knots, but when you undo them, the shoe slips on and off real easy - unlike usual with heelys when you have to really force your foot into them |

Here ya go XxHeelyZxX: strong round yellow 45" laces
Nah, not really shocked or suprised by anything I see on the net these days: I'm used to the net being full of people who are crazy about things most people would not think a person could obsess over, like me and Heelys, lol.
I used to be the same with high-end computer hardware - I could get all excited over a new phase-change cooling system to keep your chip at ridiculous sub-zero temps - so I guess I can't call that guy for being crazy about shoelaces - each to their own eh?
I think subconciously my brain was remembering that shoe-lacing website when I did the Torches lacing - although that site doesn't have the exact solution because torches have a mixture of lugs and eyelets, and that site only seems to cater for shoes with one or the other, but yeah, I improvised. |
