This is a vid to show a little mod I've been working at, on and off (no pun intended) for a month or so now.

I'd never heard of "Blitz Wheels" when I started on this, but had always wanted to make my wheels glow somehow All it required was the innards from a micro torch and access to a local engineering company, and a lot of time and fiddling.
I think this mod looks best on Reflex's because then rays of light can shine out of the sides and back between the shock-absorbers/springs - but I'm planning on a Mega-wheeled version of this mod for my Torches/Evo's/etc too
Here's another vid which shows how the wheels glow when you put your weight down: as you can see, you need to put a fair few lbs of pressure on to make them work, so they don't accidentally come on when not in use and flatten the batteries That's not my leg btw, it's my sister's

Would have got more video in but that darned dog wanted to be the star of the show again, so my sis had to stop putting her weight down for fear of stepping on the mutt's toes or whatever |

That's pretty awesome ME! You should post the specs so other's can try it too (if you weren't planning to patent or sell or anything that is...)

But for now it's a slow process or trial and error getting them to work perfectly: They work, but being a perfectionist I would never send out a product that was not perfect.
And no, I wasn't planning on patenting it or anything like that: over the years I've invented a fair few things, some of which I hear other people have made money off, but I've never really been motivated enough to want to make money myself, it's the process of tinkering and inventing itself that I enjoy. I know people will tell me I should make money from my ideas but I really am not interested in it, hard as that is for most people to accept - apart from buying heelys I live very frugally, and am happy that way, so I don't need much money. |
