Dunno about you but in my neighbourhood summer has recently arrived, which means less nasty rain to ruin my bearings, and longer days to spend out heeling
But all that heeling can be thirsty work, so, what's your favourite refreshing summer treat?
Mine are Mars Ice Cream Bars, and my own personal crushed Ice drink I call an Orange Brain Freezie!"
Mmm, I'm having one right now *slurp*
Another Crazy Idea, brought to you by. . . ME Who else?
Don't try this at home kids
------------------------------
To make it I take some orange soda, freeze it for a few hours in the coldest part of the freezer, have great fun smashing it into tiny little chunks with a clean ice-hammer/pick, pour it into a glass that was also chilling in the freezer, and add a few splashes of chilled orange from the fridge. For the full brain freeze effect, try to drink it all before it melts
I like mine with a splash of orangey Southern Comfort, but of course this is only for those of "drinking age"
For neater ice I tend to use a professional Ice-crushing machine, which can be had on ebay for about $30-40 USD.
As stated above, I don't recommend trying this at home, and if you do, I won't be held responsible for any frozen brains.
Don't worry about mine, it was toast long ago
If you do wanna drink one, don't hold the glass with your bare hands because:
A) this makes it get warm quicker and isn't as tasty, and
2) your hands might get freezer burn and stuck to the glass.
But enough of my usual craziness, what's your favourite summer refresher? |

mmm, I might have to try that, it sounds really good. I usually just freeze juice in a plastic cup with a spoon in it, and stir it to keep it from freezing all the way. Or a freeze juice in icecube trays then throw it in the blender! But my true favorite summer drink is freshly made iced tea (unsweetened!).

Every time I'm done skating, I go to the DQ down from the skate park and get an arctic rush....they're only $1 |

TEC usually gets one of the following:
- Wendys Frostie
- Starbucks Strawberrys and Creme
- McDonalds Sundae
There used to be an ice cream shop on the way back to Mikey's house. But they closed ... sniff sniff .. they had an awesome Georgia Peach flavor.

| Their ice cream was amazing, but once, they closed at 9:55 when it said they closed at 10:00. But then right after that they closed and never could come back again |

@ME - shouldn't it be the rainy season over there... Last time I was in the UK (North Ireland, but either way) like June - July was all wet... But then again I was a kid and still mentally retarded...
But on the side note, for a nice drink, take some ice and mix it with the Fruit Punch mix at WalMart (its the cheap stuff, IDK the brand name, but it comes in a can of like 5 pouches)
Mix it with some Ice (don't dump the whole thing in O.o)
Add some water and BOOM, you got yourself a non-syrup based Slurpee! |

Aren't shirley temples alcoholic?..... |

No, the whole point of a Shirley Temple is that it is NON-alcoholic. If you put booze in it, it's instantly something else, like a Cosmopolitan or something. Here's a little wiki for ya:
Quote: | "A Shirley Temple is a non-alcoholic mixed drink made with ginger ale, grenadine syrup, and orange juice and garnished with a maraschino cherry and a slice of lemon.[1] The ginger ale is often substituted with 7 Up, Sprite, or similar lemon-lime soft drink, and the orange juice is commonly left out. It is often served to children dining with elders to let them share the experience of drinking a cocktail, which is why it is sometimes called a kiddie cocktail." |
Time for a margarita, though. |
