Its harder to land some tricks on them (like handplant) .. unless you have PILOTS .. which I can NEVER find:
I want to land grinds on these.
Otherwise I love these:

I still need to find some of those lol |

I've seen gel sliders, but at the mo I just wear weightlifting gloves: the palm is designed to take a fair bit of punishment and it does stop my wrist from bending but I don't usually fall that hard, i just need the leather to stop the skin being scraped off as I usually skate on the street. |

If you have hardwood floors throughout your house (and they're not in pristine shape and/ or there are no rules about heeling in the house) wear them all the time and roll as much as possible. I can't get outside to do extensive heeling that often because I'm always physically carrying a baby so I wear mine in the house all day and heel here and there while doing my daily chores, etc. I can't do much except heel forwards, 360, switch, but it came pretty quickly for me (I'd say about a week to heel forwards.) Once the youngest is old enough to actually WALK on our walks, THEN I'll be able to do more outdoors. |
