This is My first turorial So It might not be so good.

I am not responsible if anyone gets hurt doing anything in this tutorial. Very Happy

Did you ever start heeling and you stop because your not going fast enough?

Well this tutorial will show you how to go fast.

Trick 1

While heeling put the front of your back foot down and push on the floor hard as you can then quickly start heeling with both feet again.

(Must be done quickly or you will lose speed)

Repeat this step to continue going fast

Trick 2

While heeling do kick switch's and you will speed up

(Might be kind of Hard for some people)

Trick 3

Before you start heeling run as fast as you can and quickly get on your heels.

(Requires balance or you will fall)

This can only be done once unless you stop heeling and start again.

---------------------------------
Now Some Ways to go fast but is either dangerous or stupid :p

(Dont blame me if you try it and get hurt)

Start Heeling while going down a Hill

Put nitro in your shoes

Put a motor on your shoes

Hold onto a car while heeling

Fart... lol

This is all the ways I can think of at the moment So I will be adding more soon. Cool

Please Dont flame or say its no good its my first one.

I might add a video about this tutorial after I finish all the ways to go faster.

(Except the farting one and going down the hill)

Its good for the explanation... Most people here know that trick... And as for skitching on a car... Not so bright... I made it up to 17 or 18 mph before I got scared and bailed off... Even wearing full bike leather was still kinda scary... I do want to try it though on a closed course though, like in a rockless terrain

This is tutorial how to continue heeling not how to run heel run out of speed run heel run out of speed over and over. How to continue going without stopping to run again.

I think this tutorial is ok and voted yes. I do sometimes have the problem where I have to stop and restart because of slowing, so it's relevant to me. Smile

I've recently realised that practically ANY heelys trick can be done in such a way as to add momentum/speed without the need to plant (put your toes down). . . I first thought about it when practising propulsion switching and fishtailing, wondering why a similar technique (pushing slightly on the side of the wheel) can't be done in (say) a 180, and then I discovered that it can - it's hard to master at first, but if you practise enough, it would seem that any trick where you're on both feet (not manualing) can ADD speed without ever needing to plant.

You pro's probably already know all this, just thought I'd mention it in case anyone hasn't noticed. For exmaple, when doing a 180, there's bound to be a point when one wheel or the other is sideways on to your direction of travel. . . any time a wheel is not entirely straight, it can be used to "push off" from without having to plant, providing your balance is right. Thus the "propulsion 180" is born (assuming nobody got there before me in naming this one?) Smile

So far I can only do it slow, but over a long length (like at the mall) it can keep me going indefinitely (until my legs tire)

I've been practicing this alot lately and it is definately the fastest way ive learned about. Push off with your back foot and glide on your front foot for a small distance, then put your front foot toes down and push off again. So youre switching feet and pushing off at the same speed you would be running at. It almost looks like running but there is 6" to a foot of heel glide per stride so it looks more like a floating run. Doing it on a hard carpet is a really good way to learn.

What's a kickswitch? is it just switching feet and kicking off?

Because I can't imagine anything else

Sort of... it's the best way to get immense speed short of a car or a 20ft-quarter-pipe. Smile Merlyn shows it best in this vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2HYnBCitMY

You can see a couple at 0:31-0:32. The back foot becomes the front because the front foot plants the toe and kicks through as fast as possible to push off and gain speed and once the pushing toe reachers the farthest back you can manage you lift it quickly off the ground and replant the wheel before it can slow you at all. Helps to have good balance and (goes without saying) a smooth surface. Smile
