Yeah the problem that rail was in the only nearby skatepark.And I ordered Torch from america, because in Hungary we got no Torch shoes. and it is winter now, so the skatepark is closed. (And Ive got the Exams at university four times a week). So I havent got the chance to try Torch shoes in skatepark.

Would you mind if I ask you about some heelys tricks? Because in Hungary I got torch shoes only(I think) and not much people heeling at all at any higher level.
-so how can you go up on the other side of the halfpipe with touching the halfpipe just with the wheels. Because I always slow down. And I cant pump myself up like with a skateboard because I cant bend my leg much...
But I dont like puttin in a couple of steps.
(Have you seen the Austria best heeler video?? his transfer is reaaly nice)
The little kids are reaally good in heeling on the videos.

HAHA - I can rant more than you!! Watch ..
First of all, don't worry about putting a couple of steps in. Heelys is a hybrid, part skate, part shoe. If you deny a part of yourself, then you'll never be whole. For instance, I'm Chinese-American .. born in Taiwan, raised in America. I have to be both to be true to myself. Otherwise you'll never be fulfilled or reach your potential.

That said (seriously) a step here or there is not a bad thing. We are Heelers, not inliners. Being able to generate friction at a flick of our whim is part of the fun.
Now, if you want to get to the other side and grind without touching down, here's some tips:
- Learn to jump in - don't just drop in. This will give you more force.
- Keep it smooth, don't smash in.
- You still need to pump, but pump with your whole body (back and torso) not just your legs.
- Timing is key with the pump, at the point where you have the most force of gravity - push against it hard. Practice your jumps to work strength.
- Unlike skateboarding, you have to lean back a lot more as you go up/down on the transistions. This is uncomfortable at first (especially if you lose your balance 3 meters up). But the more level to the ramp you are, the more space you will have to pump. Remember, the ramp angle is changing, so you must too.
- Don't brake on the way down - that's obvious, but I still see kids doing it .. and then complain that they can't get any higher. I wear down my breaks on my front foot on the pavement before I ride vert. I just use a rear foot drop to brake now.
- Remember to pump going down AND going up.
- Watch the "declassified clips" - this will give you some more ideas about timing.
- Oh .. and be prepared to break a lot of wheels.

Thanks a lot for your anwser Ill try to keep in mind everything you said and get better in halfpipe.
Only problem that Ill be able to go to any halfpipes when I the nearby park is going to open ...
The only thing is that sure whit heelys you can use your foot but it is much better to dont use them:D At least that how I like it:D |

Yeah - I can go very far now without planting (stepping). And when I air out, I stick it wheels only.
Its just .. not everyone can do that.

It was me and my cousin Heeling but 99% me. But falls didnt hurt. It mostly only hurts when you fell on the rail:D And speeding down the hill:DDDD |

with Heelys I been to halfpipes at the maximum 3 times. So I hope If Ill have more time Ill learn to air out and stuff much better:D
Your airs and grinds are very nice. It would be cool if you would do rsome spin in the air or some legcrossed grind to I would love to see tricks like that!!! |

HAHA - I can cross my legs to grind (unity) on vert. That's surprisingly easy .. but I can't do it (even on flat ground) with my kneepads.
So if I do it, I'd have to be skating vert w/o my knee pads .. and well .. I torn my MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) 3 months ago (not while heeling, I slipped on water) .. so .. I doubt you'll see that video soon.
I can 540 in the air, but I have to plant my foot for that. Working to doing it w/o planting but its very hard.

wooo 540??? That sounds cool. I barely can make the 360 and I feel like it looks stupid(but just on wheels)
Just standing on flat ground I can jump closely 720 it is like a 650 or something. but when you are rolling it is much harder to jump At least for me It doesnt matter much if I plant or not...
Unity I tried a couple times but I was never able to make it on any rails it is hard to put my other leg on it to and I felt on my back once.
I hope you will heal up fas!!! So you can heel more:D and show the video.
(I actually forget how they say it in english when you wish for the other to heal up fast...) |

Oh - I'm fine now .. been okay for a few weeks. but I don't think I'll be trying it since I'd have to skate on vert w/o kneepads .. and .. well .. I guess if I get some smaller ones .. that may work.
Okay - maybe .. since its a request all the way from Budapest.
