So, I am thinking about buying either a PS3 or a Wii

I already have a gaming computer and I have an XBox 360. Never really been a big fan of Gran Tourismo, though I adore Final Fantasy.

Either way, Uncle Sam is sending me some money (one day) and I am debating on picking up a PS3 or a Wii, and I was asking for honest opinions on both if possible. I have played both consoles, and there are some plus and minuses to both:

Play Station 3

+1080p gaming
+Blu-Ray Capabilities
-Good Game Selection
-Price

Wii
+Excelent Price
+Addictive, Fun Games
-Motion Sensored Controlers (because I know they can be off)
-Though enhanced graphics, not True HD Gaming as promised

Anyways, if you have some thoughts, let me know...

I'd go with the Wii, Personally i think that you can get into them more than the PS3. With the Wii i also like that you can actually move and it actually happens on the screen. With the motion sensors going weird i find that its not as bad as some other wireless controllers such as in the x-box, game cube, etc.

Wii fo sho.

Then again i'm a nintendo fanboy so i'm being bias.

i dont think ps3 is different enough from 360 to have both..so wii

As big of a Sony fanboy as I am, and I love me some Playstation stuff (PS2, PSP, PS3...), unless you can afford all three, since you already have a 360, the PS3 has much less appeal unless you are wanting to get into the web browsing, music, video, photo, or other features. That, or if there are exclusive games you really want. Otherwise, you might as well get a Wii for the party games and other fun games it has. Presumably, there are some games on the Wii that you're already personally interested in.

Right on... I was leaning towards a Wii in the first place (thank Twilight Princess and Mario Party for that one).

In answer to PQ, I did have XBox Live, but I don't have the internets at my apartment yet, so I had to drop the subscription. When I get back on it, search for IVI4V3R1CK

Also, does the Wii have online gaming like the Xbox?
