People's *first* pair of Heelys can be anything. Atomics, Vapors, Strands, Catches... whatever.

However, experienced, serious Heelers' *second* pair is the target market for the Pro Model, which Heelys, Inc. is requesting that retailers start ordering before they make. The reason should be blindingly obvious: They want the shoes that can do the most. They want to imitate the team and the things they see on Youtube, and they can't do that with their regular Heelys, as the Mega wheel (as opposed to the Fats wheel, which is used in most Heelys styles) is required to get serious about steep curves, and no one wants to go to a skatepark and not be able to grind. The Torch used to be the style required for this; before that, it was the Evolution. Today there is an unfulfilled market segment.

This style will move faster than every other style of Heelys, because this is the model that people actually want, particularly in larger sizes. Skatepark-suitable styles (Evolution, Torch) are no longer available on the Internet in any sizes larger than 9 (Men's), and are viciously fought over on Ebay for a hundred dollars. Ordering Pro Models wholesale at $50/pair is almost a license to print money.

Of course, Heelys, Inc. has made most of its fortune moving Fats-equipped styles, and as such is a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to an evolving market.

I recommend that you take a look at your own Heelys inventory: All of the Heelys you have available online- and have a hard time selling at $30- are smaller sizes, and Fats. The skatepark-enabled styles are all long gone. Therefore I urge you to purchase the Pro Model that will sell, instead of simply the styles that Heelys, Inc. asks you to purchase.

Next time you sell heelys, have a sign that says "these are the trainer models not the good ones! if you want the good ones, GET TORCHES!" That would be nice Smile
