in my backyard my Dad is building a mini half-pipe and he pretty serious

It's gunna be 3/12 to 4 feet tall and 8 - 10 feet wide.

It's not THAT cool but it's good for a home sk8park

That's a perfect size for liptricks and grinds. We scrapped the idea of a full on halfpipe and are going with 2 quarters (the 1080 and a 3' by 12' mini). That might be something to think about. You'll save a few hundred in wood and it will be more mobile and customizable.

Defniately take pics and progress pics!! If it's gonna be outside... hit it up with SkatePaint to keep it protected.

BTW....I'm sure your pops already has the 411 on how to make everything affordable, but keep it to 8' wide. That makes it exactly 2 sheets wide and makes for alot less cutting/measuring.
