BY ME, on this post. I figure there are 3 types of heelers, grinders, stallers, and flatlanders, i think these groups need cool new names. like, the grinders, the stallers, and the flatlanders. grinders are best at grinding tricks. Stallers are best at doing stalling tricks and makeing up new tricks, and flatlanders, are good at things on flat land, like 180's and tricks invovled on land, i feel that i am personally a grinder and staller, because for some reason, doing a 180 or anything above comes hard to me. i have to start backwards to roll backwards.please, feel free to post what type or types you feel you are.
p.s., one of these upcoming days i will make and post my stalling instrutional vid on utube for those interrested in my homebaked moves. |

those r types rite. not styles?
the styles are:
Street- using ur town as an environment. improvising a skatepark.
Flatland- mostly tricks on the floor.
Park- heeling at a skate park with ramps and grind rails.
Cheap- u just plain heel, no tricks |

This is silly. You don't divide skateboarders into flatland, grinders, and stallers, do you? |

I think the actual terms are:
Street, Tech, and Vert
Webstarr (Rob Santos) is a great tech Heeler. You'll see a lot of pipeline weaves, spins, footys, etc with tech skaters.
DFCooper is hands down one of the best on street. Stalling on ledges, wallplants, 180 over stairwells.
The main difference is that tech is mostly done on flat ground, so there isn't too much stalling or grinding.
Vert is mostly about speed - there's a lot of grinding and stalling too. But much less spins (except for a few really hard tricks).
I think I got that all right. |

I could only change one thing. You should have put yourself as the best Vert. I don't think anyone here could protest against that! |

Doesn't say much when you're like the only one. LOL.
But thanks. That's nice of you to say. |
