Actually, if it's not illegal in some way, selling megaverts on the Heelychat store would probably be a really good idea. |

I got some Q's...
Does it matter what kind of skateboard wheels I buy?
Do the axels and bearings come from one of my pairs of Megas or do I buy heely wheel size axels and bearings somewhere?
Can I get this stuff from like Walmart or Toys R Us or something like that? |

Still need to do a tutorial .. but there is a VERY VERY good chance that we will be able to buy them legit sooner than we think.

That'll be awesome but until then I REALLY need to make these things. Im about to bust my 4th pair of megas and I'm sick of blowing $25 a week to heel. That's not even going to the park. That's just in casual heeling. |

I've begun the creation of my wheels. It's much simpler than I thought.
I just bought wheels and bearings, put the bearings in, sanded a bit a realized that it was going to ruin the bearings, and now I'm going to get the bearings out, sand the wheels down, get the bearings back in, glue, and heel. =D |

Triple post...sorry....
Anyways, check it out:
They sorta work. They are too tall for the wheel well though. Like they rub the part in the wheel well that talks about the patent. Any ideas on how to grind it down to fit, while keeping it in perfect wheel shape?
And one of them wobbles a bit when it's spinning. This has happened to some of my official heelys wheels also. Anyone know why that happens?
Edit:
Oh yeah, and are megaverts usually insanely loud when walking? |

i dont think you can cut them down so they wont touch the wheel well you would have to buy a smaller pair of wheels. for the wobbly thing i think that was the same problem h2 had with the ones she made but idk how to fix it. and yeah megaverts are extremely loud when walking but i like the sound mine make but thats pretty much bc megaVERTS are mainly for vert but yeah |

you can't cut the wheels but you could sand down the wheel well. -shrug- |

You either need 1 of 2 things. You can put them on a lathe and have them 'turned' down (best method) OR you can fit them into a drill or some sort of high speed motor and carefully sand them. I've never done it for megas, but I have turned things down on a lathe (and urathane/delrin at that > motor mount material). It's pretty simple. You just have to make sure they're dead center via the bearings or you'll end up wobbly. |

Since they're already a bit wobbly, I think that actually might un-wobble them a bit. |

use a grinder to grind the wheel well down, screwing with the wheel is probably NOT THE WAY TO GO |
